JobJet Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 15th, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JobJet Inc. (“JobJet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information in connection with the JobJet website, dashboard, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, through authentication providers, from payment or analytics providers, and through browser-extension-enabled workflows.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, employers, applicant tracking systems, or job platforms that have their own privacy practices.
2. Non-Affiliation With Job Platforms
JobJet is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Workday, Greenhouse, or most employer sites or applicant-tracking systems unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Where the Services interact with third-party job platforms or employer pages, that interaction is for user-requested workflow support only. Those platforms control their own websites, systems, and policies, and their treatment of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
3. Categories of Information We Collect

E. Uploaded files and user content
We may collect or store resumes, generated or uploaded cover letters, portfolio links, and other files or materials you upload or create through the Services.
F. Sensitive and voluntary equal-opportunity data
Your notes state that JobJet may store gender, ethnicity, veteran status, and disability status for autofilling employer equal-opportunity or related disclosure forms.
Where collected, we treat these fields as especially sensitive and use them only in connection with user-directed application workflows and related service operations.
G. AI-related data
Your notes state that JobJet may send almost everything except the resume to AI providers for generation workflows, may store generated cover letters and certain AI-derived structured details, does not log prompts, and does not use user data to train models.
Accordingly, JobJet may process broad portions of your profile and application data through AI-service workflows where needed to generate requested outputs.
H. Extension, website, and usage data
We may collect or process:
- webpage content relevant to workflows,
- form fields,
- page elements,
- job descriptions,
- AI usage events,
- form-filling activity,
- timestamps of activity,
- application history,
- device or browser technical information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
Your notes state that JobJet does not access browser history or cookies and does not log domains visited.
I. Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We may receive limited billing and transaction metadata such as subscription status, plan information, and customer identifiers, but we do not intend to store full payment-card numbers ourselves.
J. Analytics data
Your notes state that JobJet currently uses Google Analytics for the website, Cloudflare analytics, and Google Developer Console analytics, and may add other analytics tools later.
4. Browser Extension Permissions and Site Access
Your notes state that the extension currently uses permissions including activeTab, storage, scripting, tabs, identity, sidepanel, and broad host permissions, and that it currently reads all sites, not only job sites.
Accordingly, JobJet may access webpage content, form fields, page elements, and similar information on pages where the extension is enabled, where host permissions apply, or where the Services otherwise require such access to support user-requested workflows.
JobJet does not state that the extension is limited only to job sites, because your current notes do not support that narrower claim.
5. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- create and manage accounts,
- authenticate users,
- provide and operate the Services,
- autofill and support job application workflows,
- generate AI outputs requested by users,
- store resumes and profile data,
- process subscriptions and payments,
- communicate with users,
- troubleshoot errors,
- detect abuse, fraud, security issues, or misuse,
- monitor system performance,
- improve and develop features,
- comply with legal obligations,
- and enforce our agreements.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, product improvement, operations, and business purposes where it does not reasonably identify you.
6. AI Processing and Embedded AI Disclosure
Because AI generation is a core feature of JobJet, the following disclosures apply:
- JobJet may send selected profile, application, and workflow data to AI-service providers to generate outputs requested by you.
- AI outputs may be stored where necessary to provide product functionality, including generated cover letters and certain AI-generated structured details.
- Your notes state that prompts are not logged and user data is not used to train models.
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable, and users remain responsible for reviewing them before submission.
7. Service Providers, Vendors, and Embedded Subprocessor Disclosure
JobJet uses third-party service providers to operate the Services. Based on your notes, the current vendor categories and examples include:
- hosting, compute, database, storage, CDN, and related infrastructure: Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1, Cloudflare R2, Cloudflare CDN,
- payments: Stripe,
- email communications: Resend,
- AI-service providers used to generate outputs,
- analytics and product telemetry tools such as Google Analytics, Cloudflare analytics, and Google Developer Console analytics.
We may disclose personal information to service providers for hosting, storage, payments, AI processing, email delivery, analytics, security, customer operations, compliance, legal advice, and other services reasonably required to operate the business and Services.
We do not sell personal data in the ordinary commercial sense. Your notes also state that JobJet does not intend to sell aggregated hiring data, sell job-market insights, partner with recruiters for that purpose, or show sponsored jobs.
8. International Processing
Your notes state that JobJet primarily serves users in Canada, followed by the United States and Europe, and that infrastructure may operate across the U.S. and Canada through edge compute.
Accordingly, personal information may be processed, stored, or accessed in Canada, the United States, and potentially other jurisdictions depending on infrastructure routing and service-provider operations. Those jurisdictions may have privacy laws different from the laws of your home jurisdiction.
9. Retention and Deletion
This section is intentionally written to avoid overpromising.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the Services,
- maintain account functionality,
- process active subscriptions,
- support security and fraud prevention,
- investigate abuse or misuse,
- comply with legal obligations,
- maintain accounting and dispute records,
- and manage backup and recovery processes.
If you request deletion or delete your account, we will delete or de-identify applicable information from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal, technical, backup, accounting, billing, dispute, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, and security retention needs.
This language is safer and more accurate than promising that all data is deleted instantly everywhere.
10. Account Deletion Requests
You may request account deletion by contacting us or using available product controls.
Deletion may result in permanent loss of access to:
- your saved profile,
- uploaded files,
- generated outputs,
- account history,
- and subscription entitlements.
- We may retain limited information after deletion where reasonably necessary for:
- billing and tax records,
- payment disputes and chargebacks,
- security investigations,
- fraud or abuse prevention,
- legal compliance,
- and backup lifecycle management.
11. Security
Your notes state that JobJet uses encryption at rest, HTTPS, access controls, audit logs, and two-factor authentication for admins.
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, analytics tags, and similar technologies to:
- maintain sessions,
- remember settings,
- understand usage,
- improve website and product performance,
- detect abuse,
- and support operational analytics.
Current analytics-related tools identified in your notes include Google Analytics, Cloudflare analytics, and Google Developer Console analytics.
If you later add advertising, retargeting, or more extensive analytics tools, this Privacy Policy should be updated before or when those tools are deployed.
13. Communications
We may send transactional or service-related communications such as:
- account notices,
- billing updates,
- security alerts,
- support messages,
- legal notices,
- service announcements,
- and product updates.
Your notes state that newsletters, job alerts, referral-program communications, and similar marketing communications are not yet active but may be added later, and that users will be given the ability to opt out of non-essential communications.
Users cannot opt out of essential communications relating to accounts, subscriptions, security, legal notices, or core service operation.
14. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of personal information, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, and other rights provided by law.
To make a request, contact: info@joinjobjet.com
We may verify your identity before responding to requests.
15. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for users under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.
16. Business Transfers
If JobJet is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain any necessary consent.
